Do YOU have what it takes?
(or... Do you know someone who does?)

Nominations are being accepted now through August 12th for the following Executive Committee offices:

    President

    Member-at-Large

Nominations may be made by any voting (Full, Charter) member of Discipline Corps, and should be sent to Mike Henry, Election Coordinator, at Elections@DisciplineCorps.com before August 12. Mike will be contacting nominees to ensure that the election and the coming year is a consensual scene for them, so please be sure you’ve talked to your chosen nominees before just sending their name in.

For the casual viewer, nothing will change.  The Discipline Corps website will still be your go-to spot for club news and event announcements.

For Discipline Corps members, though, we'll be rolling out several new features to this website over the next couple of weeks.  The upcoming security updates to the engine which runs our site will allow us to implement a planned upgrade of services to members.

In the coming weeks, you can expect to see:
    • The ability to log into the site via a secure, SSL encrypted connection.
    • The ability to update your profile information including contact information, emergency contact information, and scene interests.
    • Discussion forums to help you connect with other DC members.
    • The launch of our Online Membership Roster.

To celebrate the huge improvements, and encourage members to use the features behind the secure "members-only" wall, we'll be running a couple of contests and offers.  Watch your email for details!

With the recent change to a June-June membership year, it's been a while, but Membership Renewal time has finally come.  You should have received a renewal notice in your email around the first of June.  Please download the linked waiver, read & sign it, and return it along with your membership dues.  Renewals are due no later than June 30.  For those who wish to pay via debit or credit card, you may do so through the EventBrite site linked in the renewal email.

If you didn't receive your renewal notice, or you've accidently deleted it, or your dog or cat ate it, please drop an email to Matt D, and we'll resend it.

A special thanks to David Y, Justin B and Mikey C (bottom) for kicking off our May Play Party with a fun demo on suspension bondage.

With Justin's assistance, David was kind enough to share his knowledge with us on:
    • Suspension bondage safety & pitfalls, including what hardware to use and what hardware to avoid.
    • Necessary supplies
    • Rigging of a versatile "Turkey Tie" body harness.
    • Rigging of the suspension system to raise the bottom off the ground.
Our next demo is scheduled for the September play party.  See events schedule for the exact date. If you have knowledge you'd like to share with your club brothers by giving a demo, please contact Events Coordinator Scott L.

Hot men. High Energy.  Great Play!

You guys raised the bar once again for EdC.  The buzz, both in person and on the 'net has been incredibly positive, and we've already gotten commitments from many of our guests to be back next year.

Attendance was higher than ever with 87 full weekend packages and 20 Individual event packages sold (This doesn't include the guys who purchased tickets through SouthPlains or joined us on Sunday using regular DC Monthly Party Tickets.)  That's a 16% jump in full weekend packages over last year - Pretty incredible when you consider how astronomical air fares have gotten lately.)  With representatives from 15 brother clubs and three countries, the event featured a very mixed crowd!

The playspace was hopping for all three play parties with several party-long scenes and an almost constant soundtrack of howls and moans.  Our own Issac T., Brenton K. & Craig S. kept us well fed during the play parties with a great mix of munchies.

Speaking of food... our Saturday dinner took another leap as we moved from buffet service to a seated dinner.  Everyone seemed to love Kay Agnew's new Bridge Bistro/Twilight Room, and Kay absolutely loved the rose-tipped leather flogger that was presented to her in honor of our 5th year dining with her - she kind of stole the show when she commented to Justin that she'd once owned a suede one.. come to think of it, her aim was spot on when she swung it.

Also in the awards category, Jon B. of SF was presented with a certificate for his Outstanding Support and Exemplary Recruiting Efforts for EdC over the years.  Accompanying the certificate was a lovely Black & Decker Toaster Oven thanking him for his contributions.

The Dallas Eagle hosted our mixed Bar Night with the men from SouthPlains Leather Fest - a bar night which quickly went to the dogs as BD Creations and PupOut.org took over the pool table and surrounding area with a puppy mosh pit.  Enjoyment of the Scooby Snacks was, as usual, not limited to the pups!

After a full afternoon on play on Sunday, the group took over the back room at Ojeda's.  No exact count, but it's a pretty safe bet we numbered well into the 60's.  Sunday Mexican Dinner was a great way to start winding down from an incredible weekend, and we followed it up with a couple of hours at the Dallas Eagle for a last bit of play and camaraderie with friends old and new.

Kudos to all the guys under the leadership of Run Captain Justin B for all their hard work in pulling the great weekend off and making it seem truly effortless.

Even if you didn't manage to make it this year, be sure to put the weekend of March 08-10, 2013 on your calendar so you can join us next year!

A special thanks to Dan P. & Bill P. (Top & bottom, respectively) for a highly informative demo on mummification.

Dan was kind enough to share his knowledge with us on:
    • Mummification safety & pitfalls
    • Necessary supplies
    • Application of Cling-Wrap and regaining access to naughty-bits for the top's amusement.
    • Removal of Cling-Wrap and wrapping up the scene to ensure a contended bottom.
Our next demo is scheduled for the May play party.  See events schedule for the exact date.

    Hey, guys.

Our recent large order of LogoWear has arrived and it looks GREAT.  I'll have all orders with me at the February Bar Night.  If you just HAVE to have your t-shirt before then, drop me an email at membership@disciplinecorps.com and we'll see what we can work out!

If you didn't get your order in in time for the group order, you can still order from WeREmbroidery individually.  Drop me an email for details!

Discipline Corps's recent CPR Certification Course was a great hit.  Twenty-Eight members and guests were certified in Adult & Child CPR/AED use, preparing us for emergencies both in and out of the playspace.  The "CPR Ladies" of www.ItsBreathtaking.com were a great teachers, a real hoot, and obviously enjoyed training us as much as we enjoyed learning from them.

The executive committee is already discussing how frequently to have the ladies back to repeat the course.

As announced at the general membership meeting today, friendship pins and small patches will soon be available at Eagle Leather by Dan.

Since these items can be sold only to DC members, Dan has requested that you purchase these items from either Dan or Steve, both of whom are DC members.  I'll add to that that if either of them happens to ask for your membership card, please don't hassle them. They're handling these items as a courtesy to us.

Patches may be worn only by Discipline Corps members.  Friendship pins may be given by DC members to anyone they deem appropriate.
